History, Education and Qualifications
Caroline Bird CPDT-KA.. Long before Caroline achieved her dream of becoming a professional dog trainer she was involved with animals of all sorts which included many horses, Emus, cats, dogs, rabbits, chickens, geese, pigs, cows, ducks and goats. She loved them all and enjoyed learning so many life skills on how to raise and look after each of these animals.
Her biggest passion in life has always been dogs so when she moved to Canada in 2005 she was able to take her first ever dog professional dog training certification and begin her new start in life as dog trainer and was able open up her new bussiness of owning and operating a kennels where she could board and train dogs. The kennels is still operating today and has helped so many dogs become calmer and have better manners. The breeds she has trained have been all sizes, shapes and all have a different set of issue. Some have been peoples pets , others have come from rescues organizations and are to difficult for average person to handle, so with carolines professional knowledge she have been able to help train them so that they can have a second chance in life.
Caroline began group training classes in 2007 at the Latimore lake community center in Saint John and has been serving the area every since this date. Her classes include puppy, basic obedience level 1 and 2, and agility from beginners level to advanced. She does do private sessions for clients which can be at her kennels or at their homes. Other speciality classes include, tricks, dancing with dogs , workshops and seminars.
The world of training dogs is constantly evolving for the better so in 2013 updated her professional qualifications and took a higher certification so that the word CPDT- KA could be placed after her name. the letters mean Certified professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge Assed.

For Caroline to keep this certification she regularly attends workshops, seminars and does on line courses. Some of the workshops she attended include a recent seminar on the topic of teaching and handling aggressive dogs , the canid quartet workshop at the wolf park in Indiania, a seminar by Sophia Yin on a very important topic of low stress handling in for dogs . On line courses include Susan Gareth , handling 360 for agility and finally a very important first aid course for dogs by Saint John First Aid. AT the present time caroline is doing course work in seperation anxiety in dogs and helping reactive dogs.
Caroline favourite saying is that with animals the learning is never ending, animals are her passion in life and she is so lucky to be forever improving upon her already founded knowledge so that she can help even more animals and their owners have a better quality of life.
